Launched by Beth Vages in October of 2007, tylerandtallulah.com is Beth’s second venture into a children’s business. Beth has been working with children for over a decade. she formerly owned the Cape Cod School of Ballet for over 25 years and currently still operates her own ballet school on the island of Martha’s Vineyard. Her professional youth ballet company on Cape Cod toured all over New England and has one of the largest Nutcracker’s in the state of Massachusetts. In 2006, she turned over the reins of Cape Cod School of Ballet and now currently just owns the Martha’s Vineyard School of Ballet.

Beth has always had a passion for European Children’s Clothing from the beginning of the birth of her daughter, Holly Hope who is now 28 and then with her son, Jeffrey who is 20. Always trying to find European clothing or children in the New England area was difficult. Back then there was no on-line shopping. She would travel to New York City to buy her children’s clothing and try to make connections with European stores. With her favorite children’s line being Oilily, IKKS, Catmini, Lemon Loves Lime, Deux par Deux and more,  she remembered how exciting (and exhausting!) it could be. A children’s clothes store was always behind her mind.

While sitting in the hospital waiting for her daughter to give birth to her first grandchild she was on the phone ordering clothes. Two hours later after the birth of Tyler Hope she was at “Oilily” ; in Boston purchasing everything in the store for her granddaughter’s arrival home. She immediately tried purchasing European clothing for her granddaughter. Even though there were on-line stores she could not find a site with a large selection of only European lines. She wanted a large choice for her granddaughter. The only way to do this was to constantly go to Europe. She new then the bug hit again and she needed to do something about this crazy addiction. She came to the realization; why not create an on-line European clothing site for girls? Make it easy to shop, make it friendly, and offer a great selection of extraordinary European designers, of excellent quality and of unusual design. Thus, tylerandtallulah was born!

This May of 2008, tylerandtallulah will open their first store in Edgartown, Massachusetts on the beautiful island of Martha’s Vineyard. tylerandtallulah have just begun. They are also in the beginning stages of designing their own children’s line with European children’s designer, Betsi Luce. The new children’s line is “kenzi Bean“;.

With tylerandtallulah, Beth is renowned for her personalized approach to customer service; Beth will routinely act as a personal shopper to any customer who requests her services at no additional cost.
